What is breast revisional surgery?
Patients that have had aesthetic breast surgery or cancer reconstruction in the past may desire improvement in their breast aesthetics. Sometimes years after a procedure, a touch up is desired. We frequently perform revisional surgery for patients who have had surgery elsewhere.
Who is a candidate?
Anyone who has had previous breast surgery for aesthetic or reconstructive reasons and is unhappy with one or both breasts is a candidate. You should be healthy and close to your preferred body weight.
How is the procedure performed?
Breast revision is customized to your specific issues. Many techniques can be utilized including implants, fat grafting, scar revisions, breast lifts or reductions, etc.
Will insurance cover the procedure?
In cancer reconstruction, the surgery is a covered benefit in almost all cases. Aesthetic revisions are generally self pay.
