CHEMICAL PEEL: A chemical peel is a cosmetic procedure for the treatment of facial blemishes, sunspots, melasma, and wrinkles that involves the application of a chemical acid (such as alpha hydroxy acid) to the skin causing the outer layer to be removed. The newly regenerated skin is typically smoother than the old skin, although it is temporarily more sensitive to the sun. Customized chemical peels are available based on the desired outcome. Some of the brands of peels used are Jessner’s, The Perfect Peel, and ZO Skin Health peels.
